Once you've got the new files inserted the first thing youll probably want to do is take flight over Red Dead Redemption 2's gorgeous map. It's extra important due to the current shaky state of the PC Version, crashes can ruin your progress.
Do so before you replace your games file with the ones found on the Nexus mod page. It's worth creating a backup of your save file if you plan to use this mod, or any mod for that matter. That should do the trick, although beware that this is a work-in-progress so a lot of the models are still buggy and unusable. Then replace your existing model files, labeled 'SRDR30000', with your chosen animal model files downloaded from the Nexus mod page.Go to the Rockstar Games Launcher settings, select Red Dead Redemption 2 and then 'View Save Files'.In order to get this mod working you'll need to get your save file, which should be found in this file path: 'Rockstar Games' - 'Red Dead Redemption 2' > 'Profiles' (should be in your save folder).Here are step by step directions to get this mod rolling in your build: While players have been swapping models in the console version of Red Dead Redemption 2 for sometime, the PC version opens up more possibilities and makes it quite a bit easier. I turned off any of the major items of interest, like treasure map locations, etc., mainly because I want to hunt those down naturally along with some other things I'd rather stumble across by adventuring. \ I'm finding all kinds of cool stuff, anyway. I saw an awesome black duster coat hanging on a clothes line, but apparently you can't loot stuff like that. I'm traveling all over inspecting dream catchers and picking up those cards, finding collectibles and unique weapons, hats and masks. I like to pull it up on my tablet while I'm playing the game and look for things to go after. I was glad to see IGN made this one for RDR2. I know this is probably old news by now, but I didn't think to look for it until I remembered something similar with GTAV.
